The trails between Hemlock Crossing and Pine Bend (where you can see the Weaver house) are varied, and there are a couple of places where there are forks in the road, so you can go either way. One way is shorter and more traveled. That way is not for you.
Actually, you will not need to go that far. At one point, there was a tree that somehow made me think of the book "The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree." This was one of my favorite books to read to my kids. You won't have to go far off the trail.
This tree was once the site of a former geocache of mine. The tree was blown over a few years ago and I had to archive my cache. I still like the area and thought about what to call this new cache. Something like "Son of Spooky Old Tree" or something. I settled on the current title as I am definitely in favor of this tree.
