Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates; however you will need to start at the posted coordinates.

This is a night cache.

This cache is located in Bunker Park in the Anoka Park system.  As such, it is subject to all Anoka Park rules. Importantly:

Geocaching may only occur during normal park hours (5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.)

Meet the Northern Mockingbird.  One of the few birds to sing at night, they are extremely talented.  They have been known to mimic up to 50 different bird songs, in addition to having their own warbles and chirps.  Some have been known to learn up to 200 songs in their lifetime. Mockingbirds are fiercely territorial and will defend their homes with wild and aggressive movements. Maybe you will meet one while out on your walk finding this cache.

For this night cache, you will start at the given coordinates. We ran through this in the early morning when it was mostly light out and it worked OK actually, but my flashlight is super powered so, that might have been why. Bring your best flashlight and hold it about eye level and point it south west bearing 216.7 degrees. start walking (about 135 ft) and looking for your first reflective tack.  Keep going, following the white or orange reflective tacks along your path.  You will not need to leave the trail until you reach your final destination, and even then you will only be a few feet off the trail.  We've done our best to make sure the tacks are visible in all seasons.

Special note:  BE CAREFUL where you are going.  You will be crossing a road on your walk, be sure to look for cars.  Probably less likely, but I've come very close to physically running into a deer while walking through this park (I think I was more surprised than the deer), so, I guess, keep your eyes open to where you're going.

You will know that you've arrived at the final destination when you see FOUR reflective tacks on one beacon. While setting this up, the total walk took me ten minutes.  At that point you will leave the trail slightly to find the cache. Please be sure that you return everything the way you found it for the next cachers and remember - it only counts if you SIGN THE LOG.
