Where the “TRAIL” ends-a Dublin trail series
For those of you familiar with the poem by Shel Silverstein titled “Where the Sidewalk Ends” you know the author writes about the harsh realities of the adult world in comparison to the simpler reality of life in the eyes of a child. That is a heavy topic for the geo-caching world, so I wanted to put a softer spin on this cache series and focus on my city of Dublin and its very large network of trails throughout the boundaries of the city.
“Where the Trail Ends” is a cache series highlighting locations around the city where the trail system comes to a rather abrupt end. Not so much to focus on the shortcomings but to bring the cacher to places where trails end……and other experiences can begin.
The series has low difficulty and terrain settings in the hope of being able to be accessible to new, young cachers and more experienced cachers alike. I hope you enjoy the various locations and where appropriate, spend a few extra minutes (or longer) enjoying the stop.
Please be mindful of safe parking as some locations are close to rather busy streets. No long hikes here and some of the containers will have a selection of swag to trade and trackables to pick up….and move along. Most of all……HAVE FUN!!
I have a placed a SWISS FRANC coin in each cache as a FTF incentive. Good luck
