Welcome to Tavares' newest park!
This 8-acre park, which features a walkway that winds over and through ponds, is part of a $9.5 million stormwater improvement and beautification project that kicked off in 2016. Part of a makeover along Ruby Street, which was torn up to install a new drainage system that feeds into the park. It’s the latest stormwater-treatment area in Central Florida to do double duty — serving as passive green space while filtering pollutants before runoff enters a body of water, in this case Lake Dora.
You seek a cap-n-cap along a walkway between two fountains and close to a really nice boardwalk. Relax, have a seat and enjoy the beautiful views.
Good luck and happy hunting!
