Welcome to Woodcock Nature Center with nearly 4 miles of trails on approximately 150 acres located on the Wilton - Ridgefield town line. The trails are open from sunrise to sunset all year round. Leashed dogs are welcome with walkers. Woodcock Nature Center offers school field trips, summer camp and enrichment programs, which support their education efforts by immersing the community in direct experiences with nature.
This property was originally owned by the Siwanog tribe. Siwanoy were an Indigenous American band of Wappinger people who lived along the coast of Long Island, The Bronx, Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County. Dugout canoes have been used by indigenous people wordwide for thousands of years. Specimens recovered here in the northeast have been found dating back 6,000 years.
