Welcome to the city of Sandy! Most people who pass through this town do so on their way to Mt Hood, another 30 miles to the east, to ski in the winter or to hike in the summer; but did you know that there are plenty of hiking trails and outdoor recreation areas here just outside of Portland? Stop here and save nearly an hour of driving up highway 26! This adventure lab will take you on a walking tour to some of our favorite little-known parks in the city of Sandy. The walking route is about 2.5 miles from Meinig Memorial Park to the west end of the Tickle Creek trail, or 5 miles round trip, and will take about 2 hours to complete (unless you park a car at either end). Driving from park to park will save some walking, but maybe not time. There are a few caches along the route to find, and a bonus cache at the end of the adventure!
The bonus cache is located somewhere along the walk back to the Adventure Lab starting point.
