GuelphHiker: This used to be a beautiful quiet location beside the Speed River. Recently, it has become the site of homeless encampments, city tree cutting, nearby road construction, and other deterioration. So it's time to archive this cache. Thanks to all who visited and especially those who reported issues.

Geocache Description:


This cache is adjacent to a paved trail through the centre of Guelph which at the cache site runs behind a strip mall. Parking is available in the mall adjacent to the trailhead. The cache is between the trail and the Speed River. Muggles may be a problem on beautiful summer days.

Spring Advisory: This cache is right beside the Speed River. When the river is in flood in the spring it can be hazardous. Please use extra caution! If water levels are too high the cache may be unavailable.
