Geocache Description:

The covered bridge is a well known Guelph landmark and spans the Speed River at its confluence with the Eramosa River. It links two city of Guelph trails, the Eramosa River Trail and the Silvercreek Trail. This pedestrian bridge was constructed by about 400 members of the Timber Framers Guild of North America in 1992. The 120 foot long wood lattice truss bridge was built using a 19th century design and 19th century building methods. The cache should be an easy find although this is a high muggle area and it will be difficult to retrieve without being seen on high traffic days such as Sunday afternoons in the summer. Some years there is a garden bed near the cache. However, you do not have to enter the garden bed to retrieve the cache so please avoid doing so.
