Population: 100

Reason For Becoming a Lost Town: The Great Depression had a devastating affect on the town and most of the downtown section now lays in disrepair.

Town History: It began in 1857 with the organization of what was then known as Douglas, a station on the Ann Arbor Railroad. It was renamed North Star in 1884. When the Great Depression happened in the 1930's, it devastated North Star economically and over 70% of its population moved away.
