THIS AREA IS FREQUENTED BY HUNTERS IN SEASON SO FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY AND THE SAFETY OF YOUR GROUP AND PETS, PLEASE WEAR BLAZE ORANGE DURING HUNTING SEASON.
Back in 2007, my sons and I discovered geocaching and after a few finds, they were eager to place one of our own. We placed the original High Ridge fork in this area and it was found by 208 cachers, DNF'ed by 8 cachers, and the container was stolen a few times. The most recent time helped me decide to archive that one and place another one nearby.
That cache was never meant to be difficult to find. It was a full sized ammo can placed on the ground about 100 ft from an old paved road. We enjoyed reading the logs of all of the young and new geocachers who found the container easily. Hopefully it encouraged some young people to continue with their new hobby..
Anyway, with that one being stolen again I decided to archive it instead of replacing it again. Hopefully this one will be less prone to discovery by muggles while still be easy to find.
There should be no difficulty in finding this container once you get to ground zero.
It is a couple hundred feet from the pavement.
It is a full sized ammo can.
It is not camouflaged.
It is not meant to be on the ground.
It should be about 4 feet up and wedged into the crook of a tree branch.
If you find the container on the ground, please replace it in the tree so that others can find it easily too.

If you find this cache with youngsters who enjoyed the hunt, please feel free to post pictures. That is why I placed this cache, to encourage young people to get into the hobby.
