A new geocache will be available, titled "Read The Cache Page" a memorial cache for NNJC's beloved Rich of BraillerCD. a few years ago Rich had stopped by Whittemore to do a geocache, he ran into the Director in the parking lot, called me, handed the phone to the Director and the NNJC/Whittemore partnership was formed! This New Jersey tradition, held first Sunday in December, is one of the oldest geocaching events in the Northeast. It was started in 2004 as the first Caching through the snow event by Team Rampant Lion, (TRL) through CTTS # 5 in 2008, when TRL moved to CA. The Northern New Jersey cachers, NNJC kept the tradition alive and hosted the 2009 CTTS # 6 through ~ 2016 CTTS # 13. This event was not held in December 2017 and the December 2018 event was moved to March 2019. Covid caused no events for 2020 and we hosted again in December 2021. We will hopefully try to carry on the tradition each year.
