The 12 Days of Cachemas (TDOC23) is a series of 78 caches, events and adventure labs placed across Victoria to celebrate Cachemas in July in 2023. The series is a joint initiative of Geocaching Victoria and the local community to release caches in a different category each day across the state. We hope you have as much fun finding this series, as we had placing them. Now on to the cache.
On the first day of Cachemas, Signal gave to me,
a wherigo up in a tree.
Just load this wherigo cartridge and head to Cherry Lake in Altona.
Please use the latest version (v1.4 from 18/7/2023) as one zone has been shifted slightly to avoid bothering someone.
The original version works fine too.
Nature Walk
Nature Walking is the concept of using the natural world to improve mental or physical health and well-being. We use all our senses to engage with nature, leading to a state of increased relaxation.
Most of us, as geocachers by nature (excuse the pun), already intuitively know the value of this exposure to nature. Many other people are now recognizing the benefits too.
This wherigo guides you on a very short walk, encouraging a slow and gentle pace while you soak up the surrounding natural elements.
