Bucura Peak(which is also called Bucura Dumbravă Peak or Ocolit Peak) is the second highest peak in the Bucegi massif and twelfs highest peak in the Carpathians which are located on the territory of
Romania. Bucura Peak, is named after an admirable woman whose life was dedicated to the mountains of Romania and Bucegi, in particular. It is 2503 meters and is very close to Omu Peak, whose fame eclipses it. Although it is one of the thirteen peaks that exceed 2500 meters, Vârful Bucura fully deserves its name of Vârful Ocolit because tourists usually go around it.
With a hidden box near the Peak I hope that from now on, at least for geocachers, it won't be miss the summit.
Among the 13 giants in Romania (Moldoveanu, Negoiu, Vistea Mare, Parangul Mare, Lespezi, Cornul Caltunului, Peleaga, Papusa, Vanatarea lui Buteanu, Hartopul Darei, Omu, Bucura Dumbrava, Dara) this was the only one that did not have a cache until now.
