Januarja 2022, sva na sprehodu čez Ženček srečala zanimivega možakarja, ki se nama je predstavil kot geolovec "mirobori". Na njegovo vzpodbudo sva začela odkrivati geozaklade. Do novembra 2022, sva odkrila že več kot 250 in odločila sva se, da je napočil čas, da tudi midva prispevava vsaj enega v to bogato zakladnico. Najin prvi geozaklad posvečava vsem neutrudnim postavljalecem zakladov, ki nam s svojim trudom in idejami odkrivajo neverjetne zgodbe in kotičke, za katere brez njih nikoli ne bi izvedeli.
Ženček je hrib katerega najvišja točka sega 671m visoko in se nahaja JZ od središča Logatca. Vrh je poraščen z gozdom, z grebena pod vrhom pa se odpira lep pogled na Logatec z Grintavcem in Kočno v ozadju, na drugo stran na Gornji Logatec, Kalce, Hrušico, Streliški vrh vse do Javornika. Ob jasnem vremenu pa se vidi vse do Triglava.
Leži na stiku nepropustnih dolomitov in propustnega apnenca. V njegovem vznožju so bili nekoč požiralniki (Ponikve) kamor je odtekala Logaščica, ki sedaj ponika v požiralniku Jačka sredi Logatca. V vrtačah pod Ženčkom je lokalno mrazišče kjer sem 20.12.2019 izmeril kar -32 stopinj Celzija.
Zaradi dominantne in razgledne točke je bil obiskan že v prazgodovini na kar nakazuje najdba dveh kvalitetno izdelanih kremenovih puščic, ki datirajo v čas v čas od mlajše kamene dobe do bronaste dobe.
Zapis o smučarskem teku čez Ženček, 4. februarja 1933, ki je bil objavljen v časopisu Jutro priča o tem, da so že v preteklosti izkoriščali gladka dolomitna, s travo poraščena tla za športne aktivnosti. Smučarski teki pod Ženčkom so še danes privlačna rekreativna dejavnost v zimskem času – če je le sneg.
V spomladanskem in jesenskem času je možno na Ženčku videti številne jadralne padalce, ki v svoja krila lovijo topel JZ veter. Čeprav Ženček ni pravo vzletišče, pa je bila samo z uporabo termike dosežena višina okrog 750 metrov nad terenom, kar je za tako nizek hrib izjemen dosežek. Še bolj presenetljiv je rekord v dolžini jadranja, ki znaša kar dve uri.

In January 2022, while walking across Ženček, we met an interesting man who introduced himself to us as a "mirobori" geohunter. He introduced us to geocaching, and we started discovering geotreasures. By November 2022, we have already discovered more than 250 and we decided that the time has come for us to contribute at least one to this rich treasury. We dedicate our first geotreasure to all the tireless geocachers who, with their efforts and ideas, discover incredible stories and corners that we would never have known about without them.
Ženček with highest point at 671m is located SW from the center of Logatac. The top is covered with forest, and from the ridge below the top there is a beautiful view of Logatec with Grintavec and Kočna in the background. On the other side are Gornji Logatec, Kalce, Hrušica, Streliški vrh and Javornik. In clear weather, you can see all the way to Triglav.
Ženček lies at the junction of impermeable dolomites and permeable limestone. At its foot there used to be sinkhole (Ponikve) where the Logaščica flowed, which now sinks into the sinkhole Jačka in the middle of Logatec. Below Ženček there is a local freezing point where I measured as low as -32 degrees Celsius on 20.12.2019.
Due to its dominant and vantage point, it was visited already in prehistoric times, as indicated by the discovery of two well-made flint arrows dating from the Early Stone Age to the Bronze Age.
A record of a cross-country ski run across Ženček, on February 4, 1933, which was published in the newspaper Jutro, testifies to the fact that the smooth dolomite, grass-covered ground was already used for sports activities in the past. Cross-country skiing below Ženček is still an attractive recreational activity in winter - if only there is snow.
In spring and autumn, it is possible to see many paragliders on Ženček, catching the warm SW wind in their wings. Although Ženček is not a real take-off point, a height of around 750 meters above the terrain was reached using thermals alone, which is an extraordinary achievement for such a low hill. Even more surprising is the record for the length of the gliding, which is as much as two hours.
