Geocache Description:

Virtual Cache and traditional cache

These coordinates are for the virtual cache. How did the town get its name and what was the name of the nearby mine.

The cache is approx. 3/4 miles east at 36d 02.914mN, 117d 12.696mW. Follow dirt road east to a three way fork, take the center fork. Four wheel drive not required to find cache.

If you have four wheel drive, you may want to take the right fork and continue into Pleasant Canyon. Supposedly, Charles Manson hid out in a cabin in the canyon.
