This cache is hidden in a wide roadside verge next to an all-weather dirt road. It is a short distance from the main Tailem Bend to Karoonda road.
ducat began caching in April 2005 and passed away in February 2021.
He Found 446 Caches and Hid 9 caches including one that has been adopted.
ducat was from country Victoria and joined the RAAF and served in peacetime.
He then became a representative for an Industrial Instrument Company
Worked in the bush with instrumentation on oil and mineral projects.
He also had a Glider Pilot instructor licence.
He was President of the Friends of The Heysen Trail and a volunteer in the Friends Shop.
He lived near the River Torrens and being an Environmentalist he was passionate about the ecology along the river.
With a group of friends, they were able to lobby the Government to retain the significant trees and the housing density in the model estate of sustainable living in the Lochiel Park Estate at Campbelltown South Australia.
His other hobbies included Contract Bridge, and Cycling (Battery powered)
