この遺跡跡は、住居跡と弥生土器が発見され、幾度となく調査が行われた場所です。
竪穴住居跡からは炭化した米や植物などが発見され、弥生人の農耕生活、当時の生活状態や日常文化を知ることができました。
これらの弥生土器は「久ヶ原式土器」と呼ばれ、南関東地方後期土器編年基準の一つとなっており、遺跡は南関東後期弥生文化の標準遺跡です。

This ruins is a place where the remains of dwellings and Yayoi earthenware were discovered and surveys were conducted many times.
Carbonized rice and plants were found in the ruins of the pit dwellings, and we were able to learn about the farming life of the Yayoi people, their living conditions at that time, and their daily culture.
These Yayoi pottery are called "Kugahara-style pottery" and are one of the chronological standards of the Late Southern Kanto region.
