Meljska sončna pot
Meljski hrib je že na daleč viden zaradi melišča na svojem južnem pobočju. Prav markantno se vidi že iz drugega konca Dravske doline, ko se pripelješ po avtocesti proti Mariboru. Od daleč zgleda kot precej visko gora, v bistvu pa je nedolžen grič, ki se vzpenja malo manj kot 150 metrov nad reko Dravo. Prav zaradi tega hriba Drava tukaj močno zavije in spremeni svoj tok. Zadela je namreč ob Mariborske gorice, ki so del Slovenskih goric. Melišča so seveda posledica erozije reke in po tem naravnem pojavu je ta hrib dobil tudi ime: Meljski hrib.
Mesto Maribor leži pod njim kot na dlani in Meljski hrib lahko vidiš prav iz vsakega kotička mesta. In zakaj ga ne bi obiskali. A dostop do njega je pravzaprav težaven. Na vrhu hriba je konjušnica, do katere vodi cesta iz zahoodne strani. Peš poti na hrib pa je zelo malo, skoraj bi lahko rekel, da je ta edina. Zaradi privatnih zemljišč v okolici je vse ograjeno, zato je tudi začetek poti težko najti. A vam bo uspelo?

Melje sun trail
"Melje hill" is already visible from afar because of the scree on its southern slope. It can be clearly seen from the other end of the Drava Valley when you drive along the highway towards Maribor. From a distance it looks like a rather tall mountain but in fact it is an innocent hill that rises a little less than 150 meters above the river Drava. It is because of that the Drava takes a sharp turn here and changes its course. It hit the Mariborske gorice, which are part of the Slovenske gorice. The scree is the result of river erosion and after this natural phenomenon this hill also got its name: Melje hill.
The city of Maribor lies beneath it like in the palm of your hand, and you can see the Melje hill right from every corner of the city. And why not visit it. But accessing it is actually difficult. At the top of the hill there is a horse stable to which the road leads from the west side. There are very few paths up the hill on foot, I could almost say that this is the only one. Due to private land in the surrounding area everything is fenced, so even the beginning of the trail is difficult to find. Will you succeed?
