James island is a Washington State Marine State park that is located 4 miles west of Anacortes Washington. This island has a sweeping view of the rosario strait. James island is rumored to have a very high population of raccoons yet I've yet to see any! This cache should be a fairly easy find with no harm to surrounding area. You will not have to leave the path to grab it. Please re-seal the ziploc bag so nothing gets ruined. To reach this cache, you must have a boat or be an experienced kayaker. If you come by boat, there is a dock or 3 mooring buoys on the other side. This island is truly a hidden gem of the San Juans!
