Geocache Description:

17 December 2022, 17:00 - 20:00

In years past, Santa slipped his sanity, Cracked his kringle, Fell off his rocker, lost his mind and heck, even wrecked his reindeer. Then, COVID came, which put a halt to everything. Well things have gotten better, and so this year, Santa’s back at it!

This year, it’s Santa’s ANTI – COVID CHRISTMAS!

Decembember ALWAYS comes faster than we want.

The summer held on as long as it could, and there was no fall to speak of. Even the trees still have leaves.

But yes, soon it will be that time again,

For stealing the other guys’ gift…     within reason.

And, like in previous years, we will do it with an event. If you attended any of the previous events, then you know of the joyful lunacy that ensued. If you didn’t, well, let’s just say it will be interesting. Heck, it even drew cachers from the West Side.

Like every year, there will be an exchange, but not of gifts. This will be a Cache exchange.

If you weren’t at any of the other events, then here’s the run down. Everyone can attend and bringing a cache is optional however, those that want in on the exchange must bring an unplaced/unused cache container. Wrapping the cache is highly encouraged and making it unique is even more encouraged! I strongly recommend unique and unusual however, you can go ordinary and plain too. (boring)  Oh, and since there has been a rash of concern for quality and equality of cache containers, please take that into consideration.. Once everyone has brought a cache and placed it under the tree, they will draw a number signifying their turn to pick a cache. Sorry, but due to the rules being loosely given the last couple of years, this year, the rules will be printed and available at the event.

There will be drinks and goodies but you are encouraged to bring something to share.

When: Saturday, 17 December from 5 pm to 8 pm, or later if necessary

Where: This year, it will be in Cheney.

Why: Because the previous years were complete craziness, it MUST be repeated again!

So, you have plenty of time to get creative and construct the perfect cache container, unless you are a Scrooge and wait ‘til the last minute and bring a plain bison tube.
