This two stage multi cache has been placed spanning two sections of the old Shore Road which became redundant with the building of the A2 dual carriageway leading north out of Belfast. The roads are almost empty now although in the first section there are still street lights down the left hand side leading away from the city which are helpful to dog walkers at night time.
The second section has better lighting the reason for which will be obvious as you make your way to the final GZ.
At the first stage there is an entrance to the old road off the A2 dual carriageway to allow residents of Abbeydene Close access to their homes and cachers in cars access also. If you park in Hazelbank Park you can get to the first stage by way of the tunnel under the M5 motorway. It is only a short walk away. You also can park in Rushpark at the multi storey flats for easily access to the first stage.
The posted coordinates will bring you to a fire hydrant marker. You will see two numbers. A bottom number and a top number.
Let A = the top number
Let B = the bottom number.
Use these numbers to work out the final cache location.
N54° 40. (A-8 ) (A) ( A-7) W005° 54. (B-7 ) (B+2) (B-6)
The cache is a blue bison inside a camo container containing a log only.
