Geocache Description:

This cache remembers the town of Springville that used to be here.

The on and off-ramps named “Springville” are near where the old settlement of Springville was located. The Springville settlement was located on the present day 101 Ventura Freeway was built.

Springville may have been named for a large spring nearby.  Springville was impacted economically when the Saticoy train depot made way for the Southern Pacific railroad to come through. Shortly thereafter Camarillo was established.
