Route

A walk will take place after the event at 10.30am that is optional and everyone is welcome to join at your own risk. This is not a guided walk and you are responsible for your own safety. The walk is a loop walk and will be following the Kilfinnane Loop which starts and finishes at the event coordinates. The walk is approximately 11K in length with approximately 300 meters accent, and will take around 3.5 hours to complete, including taking in some caches located on the loop. The walk is a mix of minor roads, woodland paths and forest roads. When walking on the roads please be aware of traffic. The walk would not be suitable for very young children.

Walking boots are a must on this route as some sections may be muddy. We will be out in the open so it is essential to dress appropriately for the conditions and you should have warm clothes, wet gear, water and food with you. It is your own responsibility to ensure you have what you need.
