This night cache was put out to help celebrate MOGA 2023, only the second mega event ever held in Michigan! We hope you enjoy your little adventure into one of our county parks. You'll want to leave the parking lot following the trail that leads away from the parking lot in the NW corner.

Usually the night is very calm in these parts…which may be good, or it may mean sinister things are to come and very, very soon. If there is any kind of breeze, things will escalate more rapidly and be totally unpredictable. Beware of your surroundings!!
Legend has it that this area, near the Holloway Reservoir, was once a portal to the underworld. It is said that for centuries demons have crossed to this location to carry out their ill deeds. You must help us put a stop to this! You must find their energy box and close the portal once and for all! This is a dangerous mission for sure. Be very careful and be very aware of your surroundings - especially after dark as that is when the demons are most likely to manifest.
It is said that the demons do not like bright light, so I advise you to bring a bright flashlight as protection. Also be very, very quiet so that you don’t bring attention to your location. Demons have very keen hearing. Be sure to listen carefully to any noises on the trail as you never know what or who may be lurking in the shadows. You may hear footsteps as the demons follow you down the path, or you may hear leaves rustling as you are being watched from the woods. Demons can also hide in water, so listen for any sounds coming from the water as you pass by.
I must warn you that they can be partially invisible if they wish, so you may not even know they are there until they sneak up behind you. Should this happen, it is very important not to run from them. Stay calm and walk quietly. Stay on task. I have confidence in you.
You will know if you see a demon as their round eyes glow orange and especially if you shine your flashlight on them. You will need to quietly walk down the path and follow their eyes to their energy box as they will surely be guarding the way. (Remember not to run from them but walk silently toward them.) If you come to a split in the path, be sure to shine your flashlight around to find their eyes as that will lead you in the right direction. They are known to follow the path of least resistance but I am told that as you get closer to their energy box, you may have to step off of the path as they try to trick you into heading the wrong way. Just keep using your flashlight to find their eyes until you finally reach your end destination, the energy box.
As I have said, the demons heavily guard the energy box so you will find the most eyes near its location. Once you find it, open it to release all of its energy and the portal will close. I am not sure what will happen with the demons trapped here after the portal is closed, so you will have to be very careful getting back to the parking lot, so I hope you dropped a waypoint.
