Laura Ingalls Wilder was an author who spent most of her life in Minnesota. Her family moved around a lot as she was growing up and she continued to move once she was married with a daughter. Once Laura was in her 50s she began to write down memories of her childhood and when she was 65 (1932) she published Little House in the Big Woods which was an instant success. She was asked to write more books about her life growing up and continued to write until she passed away in 1957.
