My mother worked in one of the bunkers in the ROF during WW2, Exactly what ammunition she was involved in making I don't know. However, I love walking along the paths and into some of the bunkers think in well she might have worked in here. Due to nature taking over it's not easy or even safe to get inside some of them (flooded). Some of the "artwork" both outside one inside is pretty good others not so. While wildlife is not aboundant you can still see the odd fox, deer, swans and Canadian Geese in season. The cache is micro and in clear view. You can park at Nethermains Bridge, The Recycling Centre or Irvine Golf club.
