This being the twelveth in my Exhibit/Cache series (last one for 2022), L is for Lemur. Kind of partial to these critters since I've always worked with them since coming to Bloomington. While there are around 100 species in Madagascar I like the black & white and red ruffed variety (probably because that's what I worked with). Fun Facts: Lemurs are the only other primate besides humans to have blue eyes and, sorry guys, but females run the show in Lemur groups. Lemurs really only have one volume of voice and it's designed to be heard over long distances in the rain forests (this can be annoying when your working with them in an enclosed area. They have also been know to self medicate, using millipedes to kill parasites in their guts, it also appears to get them a bit entoxicated at times.
