Geocache Description:

A 13th century church, this was built originally as a cell of Wenlock Priory. It adjoins the Manor House that developed as part of the estates of the Prior of Wenlock.

The ancient yew tree you can see here in the churchyard dates from 457 AD, and is thought to be the oldest tree in Europe.

As a millennium project, members of the congregation undertook the construction of a new lych gate to the churchyard. Worked in oak with traditional tools it is a triumph of skill and craftsmanship and bears testimony to the long hours of care and commitment that went into its creation.

At the time of my visit the church was open and was worthy of a visit, the yew tree was also very interesting.

Final can be found by going to posted coords and looking at the words on the lychgate.

Above the cross are four words

A = number of letters in first word plus third word

B = number of letters in first word minus second word

C = number of letters in fourth word

D = number of letters in third word multiplied by two

Final coords N 52 34.ABC W 002 40.DCC
