The Gator Bowl is a New Years Day Bowl game that has been played since the mid 1940s. It currently hosts games from the SEC, ACC & Big Ten conferences. This game is notable for being the last game for Woody Hayes after a bizarre incident that saw him slug a player on the sidelines in Ohio State's 17-15 loss to Clemson in the 1978 Gator Bowl.
