Song Titles - Go rest high on that mountain Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

arkgal56: I have decided to archive this cache. It doesn't seem to be a good location for a cache since there are only one or two places suitable to place a cache. Also, a neighbor who lives close by often makes those who stop here feel very uneasy. You can expect to see this song title used on a new cache at a different cemetery!

Geocache Description:

This cache is another in the Song Titles series which cachingcronies started in 2017.  Mountain View, Arkansas, is known as the "Folk Music Capital of the World".  There truly is a wealth of musical talent to be found in this area.  From the Ozark Folk Center to the "Pickin' and Grinnin'" on the courthouse square, singers and musicians of all ages sing/play songs from many genres.

“Go Rest High on That Mountain” is a song by American country music artist Vince Gill, released as the sixth single from his album, When Love Finds You.  Gill began writing the song after the death of country music superstar Keith Whitley in 1989. It wasn’t until following the death of his older brother Bob, who died from a heart attack in 1993, that Gill finally finished the song.  In December of 2019, Gill introduced a third verse to the song during his annual Christmas concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. He stated he has no plans to rerecord the song, leaving the only way to hear the verse being during live performances.

I learned about this small, historic cemetery about a year ago and it seems like a great place to hide a cache.  There is a sign that gives a detailed history of this landmark.

The container is small and round and contains a log only.  Please place it back exactly where you found it so the next folks can retrieve it.

This is located in a residential neighborhood so please be respectful.  NO night hunting, please!

Congratulations to Reese486 and JAM6100 for being FTF!
