Geocache Description:

The road to the Whiteshell Provincial Park needs more caches.  This one was placed in early fall, but we were waiting for Park approval on another cache before we published this one.

The Canadian Shield is a 'geologic shield, a large area of exposed Precambrin igneous and high-grade metamorphic rocks.'  At least that is how it is described by geologists.  To me, it is just an amazing area, with marshes, bogs, lakes and forests that is home to white-tailed deer, moose, wolves, weasels, mink, otters, a variety of birds and ducks and so much more.

Not meant to be difficult - just a little more fun on your way to WPP.

Winter findable - winter friendly depends on snowfall.  Please be careful parking along the highway, especially in the high traffic times of year.
