The Kilfinane Loop has a long and a short version and this cache is where they rejoin. If you take the short route to here from Long Or Short cache you will be walking past a Clay pigeon shooting range. It is noisy when in operation but all shooting is into the valley.
From here to Walk the Dog there may be fine views of the Golden Vale and into Kerry. This depends on the state of growth of the forest and, of course, the weather.
