Geocache Description:

The US Army Corps of Engineers in the Buffalo District built this 1,000-foot armor stone seawall in 2020 with a cost of $8.2 million.

The new seawall is intended to protect Route 5 from the high waves coming from Lake Erie. The project created a 10-foot wide splash apron, acting as a buffer between the Lake and the road.

It looks beautiful but for $8.2 million they still have to close off the road during high winds every so often. So was it really worth all of our tax dollars?? You tell me.
