Geocache Description:


Sir Henry Bolte was the 38th Premier of Victoria.

To date he is the longest-serving Victorian premier, having been in office for over 17 consecutive years.

Born in 1908, Sir Henry spent the first 24 years of his life in Skipton, before moving to a farm near Meredith, where he lived with his wife Edith (Jill) until he died in 1990.

He entered Parliament in 1947, was elected Premier in 1955, and won 5 more State elections until he retired in 1972.

 

Waypoint 1

At the Posted Coordinates you will find a bust of Sir Henry Bolte with several plaques.
From the plaques, gather the following numbers:

  • Sir Henry died on A January 1990.
  • Sir Henry started at Skipton Primary School in 19B3.
  • Sir Henry became Premier of Victoria on C June 1955.
  • In the second last paragraph about his ashes, DE is the number of words in this paragraph.
  • The project was unveiled on Saturday F November 2014.

On the wall of smaller plaques behind:

  • Sir Henry's plaque is on row X.
  • Find Agnes on row 3 column 2. She died on 9 September 2YZ4.
