Geocache Description:

Twelve Days of Christmas

We now know where S. Claus lives!  But do not go to the above coordinates, as Santa and his elves are very busy all year long getting ready for the Christmas season! You would not want to distract Santa or you might not get your Christmas present!

The "Twelve Days of Christmas" is an old English Christmas carol that lists one gift after another.  It is a cumulative song, a series of increasingly numerous gifts given on each of the twelve days of Christmas.

The first appearance of this seasonal song was, not as a song, but as a rhyme. The lyrics were published in England in 1780 without music.

The very first recording of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" was on May 10, 1949, by Bing Crosby & the Andrew Sisters.  Since then, many popular artists have sung this Christmas carol and this Christmas season you might hear these artists: Roger Whittaker, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Bob & Doug McKenzie, Jeff Foxworthy, and Natalie Cole.  We can not forget John Denver and The Muppets!

This is a play anywhere Wherigo. That means that you can play it while listening to Christmas songs, in bed waiting for Santa to come down the chimney, making Christmas cookies or enjoying the classic poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'!  But you will have to download the cartridge.

For the iPhone or Android, and you will use the Pocket PC for the download.
