Keška je součástí CQ série 43 kešek v 8 evropských státech, šest z nich se nachází v České republice, zbylé pak v Německu, Maďarsku, Slovensku, Bulharsku, Rumunsku, Litvě a Lotyšsku. V České republice vás tato série zavede na zajímavá místa, která se dotýkají klimatické změny.

Pro kvalitní a zdravý život člověka je nesmírně důležitý kontakt s přírodou a ten si dosyta užijete při hledání této kešky. V Jablonném v Podještědí se ukrývá unikátní mokřadní areál, který byl vybudován při revitalizaci místa zanedbaného černými skládkami.

Horko poslední doby už nerozpaluje pouze města, ale i krajinu, ve které chybí voda. Zoufale málo přirozeně zadržované vody v krajině máme i v Česku. V minulosti byla v rámci meliorací řada nejen orné půdy, ale koneckonců i lesů, mohutně odvodněna. To znamená, že se v určitých místech přerušily přirozené odtokové poměry, vysušily se močály, prameniště, tůně, jezírka, podmáčené louky, strouhy ale i zamokřená dna vypuštěných rybníků – to vše jsou druhy mokřadů. Mokřady jsou jedním z nejcennějších světových ekosystémů, řadící se svou ekologickou aktivitou hned za deštné pralesy a korálové útesy. O to víc je smutné, že u nás byly více jak sto let systematicky vysoušeny a jejich počet v ČR klesl na pouhou čtvrtinu (ve světě zmizela polovina původních mokřadů).

Naštěstí si lidé dnes zase uvědomují jejich význam, a to i těch menších, pro ekologickou rovnováhu a odolnost přírody stejně důležitých mokřadů, a na spoustě míst dochází k jejich revitalizaci.

Věděli jste, že mokřady mohou pomáhat i při bleskových povodních? Dokáží zadržet a potom pozvolna uvolňovat mnohem více vody než uměle vytvořené nádrže. Např. 10 m2 mokřadů zadrží až 9.000 litrů vody, což je jako 60 plně napuštěných průměrně velkých van.

Obnova vodního režimu v krajině je také jedním z účinných adaptačních mechanismů na dopady změny klimatu. Různé typy mokřadů příznivě ovlivňují podnebí velkým výparem vody, která pomáhá krajinu nebo i město v horkých letních dnech ochlazovat a v zimě naopak oteplovat. Pohlcují nadbytečný oxid uhličitý z ovzduší a rašeliniště, která zde vznikají, fungují jako významná úložiště uhlíku. Zároveň jsou mokřady schopné zadržovat i organické látky bohaté na živiny a plní filtrační a čistící úlohu, tzn. že zachycují chemikálie a hnojiva vyplavovaná z polí. Mokřady hrají nezastupitelnou roli ve zdravé krajině, souhlasíte?

A teď už se inspirujte procházkou po areálu. Ze zanedbaného místa v Jablonném vznikl ráj, kde najdete soustavu devíti tůní a podmáčených luk a klidovou oázu s naučným okruhem a dalšími místy pro rekreaci a odpočinek. Hlavně rozhodně nemějte oči jen pro kešku. Společnost vám budou dělat ledňáčci, čolci, rosničky, užovky, kosatce a mnoho dalších vzácných živočichů a rostlin.

In the Czech Republic, this caches will take you to interesting places that are somehow connected with climate change.

Contact with nature is extremely important for a quality and healthy human life, and you will enjoy it while searching for this cache. Jablonné v Podještědí is home to a unique wetland area, which was built during the revitalization of a place neglected by illegal dumps.

The heat of recent times is not only burning cities, but also the countryside, where there is a lack of water. We have desperately little naturally retained water in the countryside in the Czech Republic. In the past, as part of land melioration, a lot of not only arable land, but ultimately also forests, were massively drained. This means that the natural outfull conditions were interrupted in certain places, marshes, springs, pools, lakes, waterlogged meadows, watercourses, but also the wet bottoms of drained ponds dried up - all these are types of wetlands. Wetlands are one of the world's most valuable ecosystems, ranking behind rainforests and coral reefs in their ecological activity. It is all the more sad that in our country they have been systematically dried up for more than a hundred years and their number in the Czech Republic has dropped to only a quarter (globally half of the original wetlands have disappeared).

Fortunately, people today are again aware of their importance, even of the smaller ones, which are equally important for the ecological balance and resilience of nature, and their revitalization is taking place in many parts of our landscape.

Did you know that wetlands can also help with flash floods? They can hold and then slowly release much more water than man-made reservoirs. E.g. 10 m2 of wetlands can hold up to 9,000 liters of water, which is like 60 fully filled average-sized bathtubs.

Restoring the water regime in the landscape is also one of the effective adaptation mechanisms to the effects of climate change. Different types of wetlands have a favorable effect on the climate with a large amount of water vapor, which helps to cool the landscape or even the city during hot summer days and, on the contrary, to warm it in winter. They absorb excess carbon dioxide from the air, and the peatlands that form here act as important carbon stores. At the same time, wetlands are able to retain organic substances rich in nutrients and perform a filtering and cleaning role, i.e. that they trap chemicals and fertilizers leached from fields. Wetlands play an irreplaceable role in a healthy landscape, do you agree?

And now it is time for a walk. A neglected place in Jablonné has become a paradise, where you will find a system of nine pools and waterlogged meadows and a peaceful oasis with an educational circuit and other places for recreation and relaxation. Above all, don't just keep your eyes on the cache. Kingfishers, newts, tree frogs, snakes, irises and many other rare animals and plants will keep you company.
