Geocache Description:

Gnomes have been around for a long time, probably longer than people. They mostly like to live under the ground but can also be found living in sturdy, old trees. These days, most people just see gnomes in gardens. But some gnomes still live in the deep woods.

If you happen to be walking through the woods and have a sharp eye, you may be able to find a gnome napping in their tree-home. If you see a sleeping gnome, don’t touch or disturb them, they hate to be awakened from a good nap (wouldn’t you?).

Gnomes love to collect little knick-knacks and trinkets, which they will keep in a safe place near where they live. If you find a gnome home and look around close by, you just might be able to find their treasure cache. If you do find it, please be kind and treat it nicely. If you want to take something, leave something in return, that will make the gnome happy.

Also, please be aware that gnomes are not the only creatures living in the woods. Moose are prevalent in this area, and bears have also been seen on occasion. Always be aware of your surroundings and make enough noise to let them know you are there. Don’t worry, you won’t wake up the gnome, they are heavy sleepers!

This cache probably won't be available in winter, but it will depend on how much snow we have. In spring to mid-summer, bring your bug dope!

Congratulations to FamilyDRKT on FTF, and for not waking up the gnome!
