BEWARE OF MUGGLES
Rueger (REE ger) Park Softball Complex is one of several adult softball complexes within Shawnee County Parks + Recreation. The 24-acre complex includes four softball fields with 300-foot fences, scoreboards, bleachers and dugouts. A central pavilion includes a covered viewing area, restrooms and a concession stand.
The complex was recently upgraded to championship standards and hosts Shawnee County Parks + Recreation adult softball leagues and tournaments, including national slow-pitch tournaments.
A fenced children's play structure is situated between the two lower softball fields. The structure has safety netting to protect children from foul balls.
Located south of the National Guard Armory, it is named after former Adjutant General James Rueger, a softball enthusiast.
