I believe this is the first cache in the eastern province of Arabia, close to half-moon bay of the Arabian Gulf. It should be an easy find and a good intro to the game for those with GPS and access to the internet. It is about 30km from Dhahran (accessible to 2WDs), near the Ghonan power station.
The site is not particularly interesting but nearby, are nice sand dunes with good camping sites. It is on the way to Al-Uqayr; an ancient port on the gulf. The drive to the port from the site is about 80km and is very scenic. Another shorter route from half-moon bay will take you to the old port (off Al-Khaleej village and by the beach).
The cache is in a Tupperware container.
