The original cache was a small round Altoids tin but has been replaced twice...tons of thanks to agateseeker! Please be sure to re-hide it as well or better than you found it. Take the Yachats River Road 7 miles to the concrete bridge. Cross the concrete bridge, turn left and drive approximately 1.5 miles.

While surfing the net prior to going on vacation in 2001, we discovered that Oregon has more covered bridges than any state west of the Mississippi. We decided to visit some of them during our vacation last year. The bridges are beautiful structures and the co-ordinates listed will take you to our favorite. This bridge is one of the shortest at forty-two feel in length. It was built in 1938 and was the last bridge built by Otis Hamer. The bridge was restored and dedicated to Lincoln County on December 16th 1989. Equally as impressive as the bridge is the incredible tree that towers over the road just before you enter the bridge. If anyone can identify the type of tree, we would love to know what it is. We just couldn’t resist returning this year to place a cache here (our first) and share this area with our geocaching friends. Since we live in Nevada we will be unable to maintain the physical cache so you have two choices. You can score it as a micro cache and log it immediately, or as a virtual by e-mailing us the 5 digit number that you will find printed/painted inside the bridge. Please do not post your answer even if it is encrypted.

The original contents of the cache are:
A handwritten Cache letter and an extra piece of paper
A child’s necklace-red, white and pink beads that was taken from Idaho’s “Boise Breakfast Cache”
A miniature bottle of Tabasco brand hot sauce (New, of course)
A Loonie (Canadian $1 coin)
A Canadian Quarter
A Canadian Dime
A Canadian Nickel
A Canadian Penny
A Where’s George $1 bill-L88618351N
If you take it, please be sure to enter it at www.wheresgeorge.com before you place it in another cache (Preferred) or spend it.
