Geocache Description:

Bimini is the westernmost district of the Bahamas and comprises a chain of islands located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) due east of Miami. Bimini is the closest point in the Bahamas to the mainland United States and approximately 210 km west-northwest of Nassau. The population is 1,988 as of the 2010 census. (Per a website search).

Cruise ship visitors can double, even triple, their population in a day. The port is on North Bimini with beautiful beaches and interesting sights between the two towns of Bailey Town and Alice Town. South Bimini can be seen from Alice Town and a quick water-shuttle ride of less than 5 minutes can be taken from Ferry Dock North Bimini to Buccaneer, South Bimini for about $3 per person, per ride.

This cache is hidden on North Bimini in Alice Town at a very interesting sight on the island. Built and decorated by a local man and descendant of local pirates.

The cache is a medium-sized container with swag inside. Please remember, if you take swag, leave swag of equal or be greater value to keep it fun for the geocachers searching for it after you. Please do not leave trash in the cache.

The cache is outside the museum, so no need to go inside. However, if you have time and a few dollars, it's worth the walk through. The view from the top is beautiful! You can see the clear, turquoise waters of the ocean on both shores. The hope for peace written in large words, a beacon of hope during a topsy-turvy world.

Cache has been placed with permission of the museum owner, Mr. Ashley Sanders and Dominic Sanders (his son) - birth descendants of pirates from the area. Cache will be maintained by Jeff, a local of the island and a friend of the family. Be stealthy, a lot of visitors come to see the building when cruise ships are in the area and is one of the stops on the Historical excursion from the boats. Difficulty is based on the amount of muggles you will have to search around, retrieve through, and replace past.

Please replace exactly as found/make sure it's hidden completely to keep it safe and hidden from muggles. Great cache for trackables traveling the world. Good luck and enjoy.

*** I have left a tag for the FTF and the STF, please be fair when collecting your prize. I also left trackables to start the fun.  Good luck!  ***
