Geocache Description:

Welcome to the top of Slacker Hill at 925', it is listed as Peak 77 of the Nifty Ninety peaks of the Bay Area. I was turned on to this list by Penguinphloppers after going after one of his new caches called Nifty 63 - Point Reyes Multi. He has also created a couple of challenges for bagging peaks. The first one is GC9X22Y - Nifty 90 Encouragement Cache Tier 1: 25 and the second one is GCA1RW1 - Nifty 90 Encouragement Cache Tier 2: 40. I love hiking to the top of mountains so I was quite interested in the list and challenges. There is also another list that you can find on "Peakery". It is a 100 peak challenge for the Bay Area.

Slacker Hill is within the GGNRA, so no physical caches are allowed within that territory. So this is done as a multi, with the final container outside of GGNRA. You will hike to the top of Slacker Hill and gather the information needed to solve for the final location. It arguably has one of the best views in the entire bay area. Visit all of the stages for Slacker Hill, and you will have all of the information you need to solve for the final.   They are all located within a 1/4 mile radius of Slacker Hill.  The final container is not withing the GGNRA. This hike is designed to be done from the Morning Sun Trail on Spencer Ave for the convienence of finding the final shortly after arriving back to your vehicle.  I have also provided additional waypoints for other great starting locations depending on how long or short of a hike you would like.

Dogs are welcome on certain trails, but it does not appear you can start at the Morning Sun TH nor can you go all the way to the top of Slacker Hill.  If you want to bring your dog then bring a friend and download the Marin Headlands map so you can see where dogs are allowed. https://www.nps.gov/goga/planyourvisit/upload/map-mahe-4c-2022-01-22_web.pdf

Bikes are also allowed but not starting at the Morning Sun TH.  See the map listed above for a starting point that will work for you.

To get the final coordinates enter the answers to the following questions in order without spaces.

Stage 1 (Posted Coordinates):  When was the item at this location placed here?

Stage 2:  How many posts are there attached to the broken off portion of the telephone pole?

Stage 3:  What is the approx. diameter of the pipe in inches? 2,4,6 or 8 inches?

Stage 4:  What is the numerical value of the fourth letter in the yellow area of the sign?

Stage 5: There are 3 signs here.  One at the beginning of the Slacker Ridge Trail and 2 signs that are on one post. You will have a question from each sign
A: There is a sign with 3 distances on it. Add them all together. What is the whole number?
B: There is a sign with 3 pictures on the bottom. What is the numerical value of the first letter of what is not allowed?
C: There is a sign with two arrows on it. What is the numerical value of the first letter next to the bottom arrow?

I highly recommend taking a picture of all things at all stages in case you miss something.

Enter all of the numbers in order into Certitude without spaces to get your coordinates to the final. A hint for the hide location will also be provided. You should end up with a ten digit number

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
