When entering the Porongurup region, you are welcomed by the “Welcome to Porongurup” sign and rock pile. The rock pile also includes an enormous spider model, part of an art exhibition from May 2022.
To the right of the welcome sign is a small plinth and plaque erected in memory of the teachers and pupils of the Porongurups Road School (1921 – 1924) site. The school no longer exists.
Enjoy the cache and the experience of the Porongurups!
The cache is a plastic Sistema container placed amongst the rocks on the right side. It should not be too hard to locate. Please replace and cover up again.
