You really REALLY must bring a torch
To save yourself an extra long walk, take the turn off at Morrisons Road (37 04.53,175 46.97)
Follow the track up to the broken hills battery. When you get to the Battery site go back to the steps but take the track to the left and follow this around to the Gem of the Boom creek. You can explore some of the mine shafts on the way SO TAKE A TORCH!
Pam and I were fascinated by some of the features in the roof of these caves so be sure to look up.
The cache is hidden near the old jail. From the Jail entrance go directly to the stream and follow it down for about 15 paces.
