Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series of caches, a "power trail" if you will, which I hope will lead along the Edith Nankipoo Road, meandering toward the Mississippi River, and then South toward Ripley Tennessee.

Please pull off of the main road, as it is well traveled.

Born 4.1 miles west, near Nankipoo, August 21, 1896, "Roark Bradford", this author's stories of Mississippi River and Delta characters, including How Come Christmas, Ol' Man Adam an' His Chillun, John Henry, Kingdom Comin', and This Side of Jordan, won him wide fame. The play The Green Pastures was adapted from his stories. He died Nov. 13, 1948.
