平成30年10月に北九州市は長崎市、札幌市とともに「日本新三大夜景都市」に認定されました。
小倉北区では「足立公園」及び「小倉イルミネーション」が「日本夜景遺産」に認定されています。

Although the altitude is not high, there is an observatory where you can see the city of Kokura.
It is also a popular spot for night views.
In October 2018, Kitakyushu City was certified as one of Japan's New Top 3 Night View Cities along with Nagasaki City and Sapporo City.
In Kokura Kita Ward, "Adachi Park" and "Kokura Illumination" are certified as "Japan Night View Heritage".
