Yuen Chau Kok Park is a popular place for morning exercises by residents. The original site was a small island in Yuen Chau Kok in the Sha Tin sea. Because of the reclamation project in the development of the new town of Sha Tin, the island has become a part of the east of the city. The park is built around the green area of Yuen Chau Kok hills, and the mountain park is equipped with pebble walking trails, playgrounds and flowing water scenery. The hiking trails can reach the highest point of the hill. There are viewing pavilions and picnic areas on the mountainside for tourists to rest. The top of the hill is equipped with a viewing map and sundial. The highest point of the hill is a triangulation station of the Lands Department.
