Geocache Description:

Where is Dutch Flat? I don't think anybody knows, but my best guess is that it's this big open area in the southeastern corner of the park. Whether or not this is actually the infamous Dutch Flat, this area is beautiful, with big open meadows and gently rolling hills. ("Flat" is relative around here.) This cache is hidden on the Brush Trail at a gate that sort of marks the entrance to "the flat."

You're looking for a small snaplock-type container hidden using some natural (but not *that* natural) camo that I found lying around. I hope it's sturdy enough to keep the pigs away. Cachers should have no trouble spotting the suspicious pile of camo right along the fenceline. The terrain rating is for the most direct route to the cache, which is fairly flat and only a few miles from the main parking lot. The terrain increases if you take any of the many loop options involving the ridges on this side of the park (which are well worth the effort.)

Joseph D. Grant hours are 8:00am to sunset. Parking is $6 in the main parking lot or you can park in the free lot across the street if you want to save some money and add a mile or two to your hike. Happy hunting!
