Another geocache highlight exposed Eugene streetcar history. I wish my home city of Salem, which had a more extensive streetcar system, still had so any exposed remnants of its system.

I have several caches in Eugene exploring its streetcar history. This exposed trolley track is on Moss Street on the eastern edge of campus. This was part of the Fairmont loop line. The modern-day EMX bus line not far away is almost like a former trolley line that went between Eugene and Springfield. In some ways, it is better with extensive use of the dedicated right-of-way, but it runs on rubber tires The last of the old trolleys ran on Moss Street's rails in 1927.
This cache qualifies for the Disappearing RR Blues bonus cache. This series highlights the railways of NW Oregon
