When?

Tuesday 10th January 2023 6.30 PM - 10:00 PM

The Details...

Being well served by local and regional public transport links, providing there isn't a strike, please check before travelling, you may choose to leave the car at home and take the opportunity to sample a few glasses of whatever tickles your fancy. That is of course, so long as you're not still suffering from the excesses of the holiday season.

Getting there and getting home...

Train station, 0 metres.
Taxi rank, right outside the pub. You could literally fall out of the pub and into a cab.
Free on-street car parking (after 6pm), 100 metres.
Bus station, 250 metres.  Shank's pony is also available.

If Carlsberg did raffles...

Now for the most important bit... All those unwanted/unclaimed 'special' Christmas pressies, the ones that'll otherwise just sit in a cupboard, never again to see the light of day; bring 'em along and we'll raffle 'em off. Through your generosity over the last few years, we have made some sizeable donations to many worthwhile causes. Hopefully, we can do the same again this year as we continue our support of Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

Due to some sort of pandemic there hasn't been an 'Ogmanay in the Head of Steam since 2020.  Some of you may remember the wonderful online auction that was held in 2021, where you generous lot helped to raise a staggering £3,003, which was presented to the Home Valley MRT by Clare and Jeff aka CnJnA.

Usually the event is hosted by that reprobate Penfolio, alas this year he's been a very naughty boy and already used all his holidays, therefore his services are required elsewhere.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING PRIZES AND CASH FOR THE RAFFLE.  WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU.
